The renovation of LR House in Alta Valtellina is an example of how the combination of different woods can create an environment full of personality.
The floor was made of hand planed oak, a finish that enhances the materiality of the wood and gives a feeling of solidity. For windows and doors, a stained brushed spruce was chosen, which discreetly blends into the façade.
In the interior, the old spruce is the star of the cladding, doors and furniture, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. The contrast between the irregular surface of planed oak and the marked grain of old spruce defines a unique style, balancing rustic and modern.
